Hey everyone,  I have a few questions/things to run by for some advice/insight.  I am currently 24 years old so I have been done with High school for awhile now.  But lets rewind a number of years to the 7th grade.

My Mom(I will call her Mom) were friends with this girls mom that I was in class with in the 7th grade.  I will call the girl I went to school with Jamie and her mom Martha.  So my mom and Martha were pretty good friends back then.  Over time they kinda got away from each other as sometimes happens during life.  Now Jamie, I never really thought much about her, I think I talked to her a few times if I remember correctly but it wasn't much.  Anyways fast forward to present day.

I live on my own but only about 10 mins from my parents so I get by there quite often.  Couple months ago I was over there and saw my mom had a note to go to lunch the next day with Martha.  I didn't know they were hanging out or whatever but she said they got back in contact with each other.  So I remembered Martha's daughter Jamie and jokingly asked my mom if she was single and if she was I would call her.  Few days later my mom told me she asked Martha if it would be ok for me to call Jamie to talk.  Martha said that would be fine.  My mom informed me of this. 

So that was 2 months ago roughly and I have never called.  I got to thinking about it and probably over thinking things like I tend to do sometimes.  But I mean, this girl might remember who I am..but that's it.  I mean I call this girl and say....what?  It would be a total blind date type deal. 

Today I was checking my facebook messages and thought if I could find her on there it might be easier to kinda get a conversation going and then go for her number after we go back in forth a bit.  So indeed I found her.  But again I feel weird about dropping this girl a line that I haven't spoken to or seen since the 8th grade.  Shes attractive and short which I like.  I have never tried to get a date with a girl this way, usually I just see them and ask them.  I have even been fortunate enough to have some girls ask me out and that's rare or so it seems.  But I am no stud or hotshot with women. 

Any advice would be helpful.  I just feel like sure I can email her but I will have to pull stuff out of my ass to talk about.
